Cast & Cold Glass

December 2018 - January 2019

This exhibition will highlight examples of work from international and national glass students. The exhibition will be held in the gallery at Foci MCGA. This show of cast and cold worked glass art transforms a craft that most are unaware. The cast work can be made from the furnace or in the kiln. Coldworked glass, also known as cut glass is reminiscent of cut crystal. this process is known as refining of the material to decorate and adding textures. Both of these processes deal with the utilization of light as a major component of the composition.
