Kids Glass Camp - Fired Up! (Ages 9-12)

This five day camp for ages 9-12 introduces students to the magic of working with glass through:

  • Glassblowing - shaping molten glass in the Hotshop

  • Kilnforming - designing and fusing colorful sheet glass in the Kilnshop

  • Flameworking - melting glass rods over a torch in the Flameshop

Participants focus on learning to safely use glass as an artistic expression and make a series of glass sculptures throughout the week. Our unique Summer Camps for kids use glass making processes to teach valuable skills such as team building, creative problem solving, and communication with peers and instructors.

Heat Warning: If the glassblowing studio is too hot to safely work, alternate kilnforming or flameworking glass projects will be made.
