Exhibition Statement
In its original context the phrase, “A Tisket, A tasket” was made up purely to rhyme in a childhood limerick. A Tisket A Tasket, an exhibition by glass artist SaraBeth Post Eskuche, explores themes of potential and growth, weaving together imagery of nature and objects from childhood.
"This collection of work has allowed me to explore almost every discipline of glassmaking; neon, casting, furnace-work, and flame-work. Though maintaining my long standing interest in objects and games associated with childhood play, I am currently investigating a likeness in the early stages of growth in my home garden and the early stages of human development. Both plants and people share a need to be nurtured, in hopes to reach their full potential. Color in my work is sunlight!"
