Date: December 6th, 2019
Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Fight off the cold of the snow in the glow of the glassblowing hotshop! Woman-identifying glass artists of Foci MCGA will be hosting this holiday happy hour fundraiser that will highlight their artwork and contributions to this organization.
During the Let it Glow Happy Hour, we will be serving cocktails in handmade glasses designed specially for the event, selling holiday gifts of pear and apple ornaments and nature inspired fused coasters, and "raffling" handmade glass pieces every hour. All these items have been made by female glass artist at Foci MCGA, either by volunteering to help produce them or by donating their personal work as door prizes! During the event we will also be having a collaborative demonstration in the Hot Shop to create a sculpture which can be bid on in our silent auction of the evening. Guests can enjoy beverages and do some holiday shopping, while relaxing and hanging out in the warmth of the studio. All are welcome to attend!
The money raised at Let it Glow will go to support Foci MCGA's A Fresh Gather Capital Campaign in which we are raising money to move to a new location in the Seward neighborhood in 2020. Unlike Foci MCGA’s current location, the new space will be secure, ADA accessible, and be easy to find.
Event is open to all ages.
No cover fee.
ID required for alcohol purchases.
