Welcoming all past and present studio members, students, and local artists!
If you're able to, bring a small dish to pass and come hang out! Forge some new connections, enjoy some food, and play around in the hotshop. We'd love for you to join us!
This event is not restricted to current members only. We encourage previous members, students, staff, and local glass artists to attend as well! If you haven't been to the new studio location yet, this is a great opportunity to explore it and meet some of the new faces.
BYOB. Food setup will be in the classroom. Outlets will be available for crock pots. Serving tongs and spoons will be available. Disposable plates, utensils, and napkins will be provided. You may begin setting up your food at 5:30pm if needed. Begin food cleanup by 8:45pm.
Click here to access the signup sheet to let everyone know what food item you plan to bring!
There will be slips available to fill out during setup indicating what allergens your food items may contain.
The gallery and studio rental will be closed. Staff will not be on duty. RSVP is not required, but strongly suggested.
Optional Activities for Attendees
Hotshop Game of Magic Stick: The hotshop will be open for a game of ‘magic stick’, where the challenge is to create a cup using only gravity and a mystery tool! Games will run from 7pm-8:45pm. Participants must have experience and approval to use the hotshop. Participants may not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Glass Art Exchange: We also encourage makers to bring a piece of glass of theirs for a free randomized glass exchange! To participate, bring a piece of glass to be included in the raffle. Place it on the Flame Shop table and fill out a slip to tape to your piece. Suggested items are cups or bowls, small sculptures, pieces that don’t quite pass quality control, or cool experimental tests you’ve done in glass. The exchange will take place at 8:00pm. No money will be exchanged for pieces. Sharp glass will not be accepted.
Glass Material Swap Meet: Bring your unwanted glass materials, tools, or equipment to give away or exchange with others.
