Friday March 8, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Join us for an evening with acclaimed glass artist Sayaka Suzuki at Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Art for an artist talk and glass pâte de verre demonstration!
Sayaka explores the traditional art nouveau style of pâte de verre, a glass casting and mold making process using glass powders and frit. The results of pâte de verre are unique; from being completely opaque like marble, to translucent to transparent with opaque components. During the demo, Sayaka will build patterns with colored glass powders and provide examples.
Sayaka's artist talk starts at 6pm in the Threads Dance Studio space, followed by a live demonstration at 7pm in our studio’s classroom. Don't miss this chance and reserve your spot - seating is limited!
